Our story
Our first date was a picnic that went badly: ants, drizzle and the sandwiches in the grass. We laughed so much we decided to do it again every year. This is picnic number ten — the one that counts.

15 minutes from Windermere by car. Signposted parking in the meadow and taxis at the end.

Sunday best: linen, flowers and shoes that can cope with grass.
